ASSIGNMENT
The wirebender was a quite straightforward assignment. I had to design a tool that could bend steel wire (2-3 mm thick) into
three dimentional objects.
I researched existing solutions, and decided
I wanted a light, portable and flexible tool that got the job done.
The result of this challenge is an easy to use and small set of plates with profiles for different radii.
The plates and a box that contains extra tools (some wirecutters and the handle) are held together with an elastic strip.
The whole design is quite easy and cheap to make, and easily adapted to personal needs by swapping or adding plates and profiles.
